Mount Ramelau is the highest peak in Timor-Leste, standing at 2,963 meters above sea level. On clear days, you can see both the north and south coasts from the summit.
The peak often rises above the clouds, offering breathtaking views—especially at sunrise and sunset. Be prepared for cold weather, as overnight temperatures can drop to freezing year-round.
The trek to the summit takes about 3 hours and starts from the highland village of Hato Builiko.
